Problem:  Dull, flat lackluster skin? 

 Our clay salt exfoliants gently, yet effectively remove dead skins cells from skin without abrading the top layer of skin (stratum corneum) and do so without any harmful chemicals. This exfoliation allows the skin to better reflect light, giving skin a glow.

Problem:  Dry, ageing skin with fine lines?

Our mineral salts are naturally antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. They stimulate the skin to perform functions such as oil production and hydration. Our Terra salts help bring blood and oil to the skin’s surface and aid hydration, which helps firm the skin by balancing moisture beneath the surface. Our salts also keep mucous membranes moist and increase cell regeneration, giving skin greater elasticity. In addition, our mineral salts boost the immune system by penetrating into the skin, strengthening blood vessel walls. Each of the four main ingredients of our salts has specific skin benefits. 

• Sodium helps restore skin’s protective barrier helping hold hydration. 
• Magnesium supports the synthesis of collagen and protects skin from harmful free radical damage that can ultimately lead to wrinkling and skin damage. Magnesium helps to maintain water balance in the cells and regulates the acid/alkaline (PH) necessary for proper functioning of the nerves and muscles. Magnesium is also a natural skin toner, skin tightener, refresher, allergy fighter, and moisture retainer. 
• Calcium works with the epidermis to produce sebum, a natural, skin-coating substance that helps skin maintain its natural moisture. 
• Although potassium is not absorbed through the skin, it enhances skin’s pH, moisture, and texture. Potassium also has antibacterial and astringent effects on the skin.

Problem:  “Maskne,” “backne”, folliculitis?  - do not scrub, but make a paste mask with one part water and two parts Terra Prima clay salt.  Apply to the afflicted area.  It will sting on lesions and open skin, but this means that it is working on healing the skin. The antibacterial properties of the salts discourage the growth of bacteria responsible for breakouts and acne. Their antiseptic, detoxifying properties help heal small lesions and draw out toxins, microscopic dirt, and pollutants that get into pores over time. Leave on skin until the paste dries.  About ten minutes.  Rinse thoroughly with warm water and gently pat dry.  Repeat three to four times per week until the skin clears.

Problem:  Keratosis Pilaris, “bumpy skin’?  Our salts are effective in improving the texture and health of “bumpy skin, or  keratosis pilaris.

Problem:  Uneven makeup application; makeup that fades quickly?  

Use any of our clay salts one to three times per week to create  the perfect smooth canvas for makeup application, and allow this application to last longer.

Problem:  Knicks or cuts when shaving, or suffer from ingrown hairs from waxing?  

Exfoliating with our clay salts is the perfect skin care step before shaving and waxing. Smooth skin makes shaving and waxing easier and helps lessen the incidence of ingrown hairs. (Leave one day in between exfoliating and waxing).

Problem:  Blotchy self or and self or sunless tanner application, with an uneven fade?

Exfoliate your entire body with one of our Terra salts before getting a spray tan or applying self-tanner. Self-tanner sinks into dry skin, leaving dark patches, so sloughing off dead skin cells is important. If you skip this step, the next time you shower after application, and aggressively towel off, you will be pale again. 

Use one of our Terra clay salts all over with special focus on rough spots like the knees, elbows, ankles, and heels.  Our Terra salts contain no oils, and leave no residue once rinsed off, so will provide a soft, smooth canvas for self-tan application and not impede its development.

Problem:  Dry skin, fine lines?  

Our Ama oils are occlusive, or barrier moisturizers. Ama oils’ relatively large essential fatty acid molecules seal in moisture, and prevent the skin from drying out. They are packed with Omega-3 fatty acids, lignin's, and antioxidants, making them powerful allies in the fight against ageing. Their fatty acids help smooth and hydrate skin, balance the skin's own oils and reduce inflammation. Lignin's help reconstruct broken blood vessels and skin cells.  Their powerful antioxidants also protect skin from free radicals and UV rays. 

Problem:  Suffer from chronic skin conditions such as eczema (dermatitis), rosacea, or psoriasis?

Ama oils also help minimize skin irritation, redness and inflammation. Skin rash symptoms may also diminish with topical application. Chronic skin rash conditions like dermatitis, rosacea, or psoriasis, may be reduced by daily application of the Ama oil on the affected area. 

Problem:  Acne flare ups, irritated skin?
